"DELTA SIGMA PI IS A PROFESSIONAL FRATERNITY ORGANIZED TO FOSTER THE STUDY OF BUSINESS IN UNIVERSITIES; TO ENCOURAGE SCHOLARSHIP, SOCIAL ACTIVITY AND THE ASSOCIATION OF STUDENTS FOR THEIR MUTUAL ADVANCEMENT BY RESEARCH AND PRACTICE; TO PROMOTE CLOSER AFFILIATION BETWEEN THE COMMERCIAL WORLD AND STUDENTS OF COMMERCE, AND TO FURTHER A HIGHER STANDARD OF COMMERCIAL ETHICS AND CULTURE AND THE CIVIC AND COMMERCIAL WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY."
The Upsilon Chapter at the University of Illinois was founded on April 29th, 1922 and has added over 2,300 brothers to Delta Sigma Pi’s 280,000+ members from around the world. Our brothers are leaders in their fields in accounting, finance, consulting, banking, and everything in between.

It is an honor to serve as the President of Delta Sigma Pi, an organization that has profoundly shaped my personal growth and college experience. Everything I’ve learned as a professional stems from the guidance and support of my brothers, and it has been a privilege to be surrounded by such driven, passionate individuals. Our fraternity provides countless resources to foster professional development, cultivate meaningful connections, and grow as leaders. Yet, what truly sets Delta Sigma Pi apart is the sense of community among our brothers and how we inspire one another to reach our fullest potential as students in the Gies College of Business and beyond.
Through this organization, I’ve found not only my best friends but also a family of people who have made campus feel like home. The friendships I’ve built in Delta Sigma Pi will undoubtedly extend far beyond college, and I am incredibly proud to be part of such an exceptional group of individuals. Looking ahead, I am excited about the opportunities to uphold our values and create impactful experiences for our members. why the
cystic fibrosis foundation
Gabby Ives joined our Spring '17 pledge class during her freshman year. Her unwavering positivity, charismatic energy, and attitude had the ability to captivate any room she was in. Unfortunately our time with Gabby was cut short, as she lost her fight to Cystic Fibrosis in June of 2017. We work to honor Gabby's memory each semester as we raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help fight this disease. DSP has helped to raise more than $10,000 and counting this semester in Gabby's honor. We greatly appreciate any donation made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
